Valentine's Day At Home

The most romantic day of the year is almost here. Whether your single and ready to mingle or coupled up for Valentine’s Day, here are some fun ideas from your friendly neighbourhood builder, Gibson Contracting, to spend your Valentine’s evening at home with your significant other or Tinder swipe.

1. Cuddle up in front of the fireplace. Set up an air mattress or blankets on the floor to create a love nest to stare into each other’s eyes. Want more “mood”, think candles, flowers and rose petals.
     
2. Have fun cooking together. Choose a menu of your favorite items that may not be feasible on most other days. Get the ingredients ahead of time, then have fun cooking, taste-testing and eating together.
   
   
3. Play games. Choose your favorite board game and play the traditional way, or add an extra romantic twist. Strip crib anyone?
   
   
4. Dance like no one is watching. Bring on the cheese with this option - move the furniture, turn on the music and dance like your first time (if that was at a country bar two stepping, just make sure you give yourself some extra room).
   
   
5. Have a spa night. Take advantage of your luxurious ensuite like never before. Think bubbles, massages, candles and getting lost in each others’ eyes.
